Abstract

Ankle luxofracture is a common lesion that mainly affects the active population and older adults. It can be classified according to the characteristics of the fracture feature or according to the mechanism that generated it. The type of patient and injury will deliver the treatment guidelines. The objective is the recovery of the joint anatomy and its functionality. Throughout this text will address the different topics of this injury, based on review of medical literature published between 2012 and 2017.
