Resumen

La luxofractura de tobillo es una lesión frecuente que afecta principalmente a población activa y adulta mayor. Se puede clasificar según las características del rasgo de fractura o de acuerdo al mecanismo que la generó. El tipo de paciente y lesión entregará las pautas de tratamiento. El objetivo es la recuperación de la anatomía articular y su funcionalidad. A lo largo de este texto se abordarán los diferentes tópicos de esta lesión, en base a revisión de literatura médica publicada entre los años 2012 y 2017.
