Resumen

Introducción: Alrededor del 79% de las lesiones de rodilla se asocian a la rotura del Ligamento Cruzado Anterior (LCA), para lo cual el tratamiento más usado es la reconstrucción quirúrgica, con una prevalencia de un millón de casos cada año a nivel mundial. Luego de dicha cirugía aparecen complicaciones y deficiencias lo que hace necesaria una rehabilitación kinésica, con el fin de devolver la funcionalidad de la rodilla. Sin embargo, a causa de la variabilidad de protocolos prescritos en la literatura no existe una concordancia en cuanto a la rehabilitación más adecuada ni el número de sesiones para el tratamiento de esta problemática de salud.

Objetivo: Analizar la evidencia científica reciente sobre el número de sesiones en distintos protocolos aplicados al tratamiento post reconstrucción del Ligamento Cruzado Anterior asociado a la lesión traumática total.

Metodología: Se efectuó una revisión sistemática de bibliografía científica reciente con carácter retrospectivo en las bases de datos PUBMED, OXFORD, WILEY, SCIELO, SCOPUS, SPRINGER y EBSCO, entre los años 2015 y 2021. De un total de 156 artículos, 4 fueron seleccionados según los criterios de inclusión y exclusión preestablecidos.

Resultados: Tras la reconstrucción del Ligamento Cruzado Anterior, los deportistas deben someterse a una rehabilitación de 105 sesiones de tratamiento, debido a las deficiencias y complicaciones desarrolladas por este procedimiento quirúrgico. El programa de rehabilitación se distribuye en 5 sesiones semanales durante 21 semanas. Se recomienda la realización de estudios posteriores, debido a la escasa información referente al tema en estudio, lo cual limita la obtención de resultados seguros y reproducibles.
